yes it is a lot different silicone does not stick to anything well and needs to be resealed a lot. Proflex is probably the best caulk I have ever used. It sticks to surfaces that aren’t perfectly clean, and it sticks almost permenantly. This is what you want to used on the sidewalls of you trailer too.
